Welcome!  Here you will find information about a wide variety of conditions that are treated through a trauma informed lens.  Services are offered as talk-therapy modalities.  At times, specialized treatment is a beneficial supplement and having talk therapy as part of your supplement can improve outcomes. Additionally, there is information about some of the modalities and theories that are utilized in treatment.

What We Treat

01

Addictions

Addiction, in present and past occurrence, has an impact on our overall well being, mental health, and relations.  Stopping the use of substances is a difficult task for some and its learning to live agin with the emotions can prove to be more difficult.  When we realize we have been medicating, we begin to wake up to the wound that we were treating.  Addictions are also not limited to just alcohol or drugs -- it can be a variety of other behaviors and substances.  Lets start the journey of healing togehter!

03

Anxiety

Anxiety can affect us all.  Continual worries can distract us from living our present moment and can impact our sleep.  Eventually the compound impact becomes an overwhelming and debilitating.  We may even experience ongoing physical tension and in ability to remain in a calm state.  Anxiety can be treated through various interventions and processing.  Let's explore what anxiety is calling us to look at.

05

Trauma

Trauma does not have to be an outwardly shocking event.  It can come in subtle ways that makes it even harder to understand at times.  Building awareness, developing healthy self-care practices, and processing through traumatic experiences can help bring health and wholeness.  Trauma includes physical, mental, spiritual, financial, and even caregiver burnout.

06

Adjustments

Transitions are part o life.  We get a new job, we lose a job, we go through a break up, we experience an overwhelming amount of stress, we move.  These are some of the transitions that, while some ore welcomed and some are unwelcome, create an experience in our consciousness and mental health.  Adjusting can look like changing small habits and other times it may be an indicator of new skills to be developed.  Lets talk about what the adjustment is in your life and how you can grow.

06

Mens Issues

Men, and women, face a variety of issues and emotional impacts.  As I am more versed and experienced with men's issues, I offer a perspective and understanding of treating such areas.  These may include emotional attunement, healthy masculinity, shame and self-esteem, and connection with others.  At this time, my focus is emotional and cognitive and does not include sexual health or considerations.

02

Depression

Depression can be a confusing and difficult process.  Low interest in activities, lack of energy, and low mood can take a toll on a person along with the individuals who care and support.  Depression can be thought of as a guide pointing to an area of life that has unprocessed energy.  There is nothing inherently wrong in feeling this way rather the gift is to allow it to point to healing.

04

Stress Related Disorders

Stress is a normal part of life and is also an under appreciated response to life.  Stress can manifest in a variety of ways including mental health, behaviors, and psychosomatic presentations.  Stress is often called the silent killer and can have long term effects on our life.  Stress is simply understanding that we are stretched to our nervous system capacity and is a warning sign that the tension can not be held for a sustained period of time. Lets work together to find resolutions and solutions.

06

Grief/ Loss

It happens, sometimes suddenly and sometimes over time.  The river of grief swells over time and has its own nature.  Grief and loss are some of the hardest parts of our lives to talk about and we often numb the feelings with substances, work, relationships, or any other action that brings temporary relief.  The landscape and navigation of grief can be disorientating and I would be honored to be a trusted guide on your journey with grief.

06

Bi-Polar Disorder

Let's work together through the highs and the lows.  Some may experience mania without the lows and others may have a combination of the highs and lows.  Either way it may show up, lets address successful  coping strategies  to navigate these and minimize the impact to daily living.

Eclectic Approach

I offer an eclectic approach which means we may draw from a variety of theories, approaches, modalities, and interventions throughout our work together.  There are times where one may respond better to one approach than another and the eclectic approach allows us to remain flexible.
